This demo will introduce gold leaf in its many compositions. Attendees will see different examples of gold leaf applications in painting. They will learn about the best way to apply it to a surface depending on the need for a smooth or texture finish; they will also learn how to seal and varnish and make it ready to use as a painting surface. Gold leaf can cover the entire surface or only parts of the substrate, designs of all types can be achieved. Some attendees will get hands on experience.
This event is appropriate for ages 16 plus. Space limited.
