Talking Art is a curated series of artist talks and conversations held in advance of the Eastside Culture Crawl festival. Artists must be registered for the 2026 Culture Crawl to submit. Artists are paid an Artist Fee.

Call For Short Films and Videos. Moving Art is the Eastside Culture Crawl’s annual curated projection of film and video.  The videos/films will be shown online during the 2026 Eastside Culture Crawl in November. Submissions are open to film and video artists; the submitting artist does not have to be registered with the Crawl. Each year the theme is determined based on the films submitted. Artist are paid an Artist Fee.

You may request a refund up to September 1st, 2026. All refund requests received on September 1, 2026 or prior will be honoured, less the $35 admin processing fee. Refunds will be issued in the form of payment they were received. To request a refund please email acc@eastsideartssociety.ca

The Eastside Culture Crawl (“Crawl”) is an open studio event designed to promote appreciation for the many varied visual art practices in Vancouver’s Eastside.To ensure the accessibility of the Crawl for artists who live/work out of their homes and for various reasons are unable to open their home studios to the public.

To be included in the printed and online program, you must register and complete all required areas (indicated with a red asterisk) of your online artist profile by September 10, 2026. If you do not complete your artist profile by this date you will not be listed in the program.

Please note: New artists must submit their applications for approval in by September 10, 2026 in order to register and complete your online artist profile for the deadline, or you will not be listed in the program.

You can still register after this date. You will not be included in the program but your profile will still appear in our online artist listings. You will not appear in the online artist listings until you complete your artist profile. 

Registered Crawl artists planning to do a special event to engage the public during the Crawl weekend must fill out the submission form to be considered for listing in the printed program and website. This is promotional opportunity, artist fees are not provided.

Deadline to submit your information to the Crawl’s publicity team for media consideration.  You must be registered for 2026 to make a submission.

Artists registered for the 2026 Eastside Culture Crawl are invited to submit to the annual Studio 101 program, providing free arts making workshops in artist studios to elementary students at Britannia, Grandview, Seymour, Strathcona and Xpey’ elementary schools. Students get to create an artwork that they can take home. Submitting artists must work in the Eastside. Applicants who do not have a studio on the Eastside may be considered. We highly encourage Indigenous and French bilingual artists to apply.
