Lindsay Macmillan is a Vancouver based artist who is inspired by the ties of our shared environments and experiences. Working primarily in acrylics and watercolour, she seeks to express how our relationships mold our individual and collective identities. Following the completion of a Certificate of Fine Arts at Langara College in 2003, Lindsay changed direction and worked in communications for over a decade. After having her two daughters, she decided to return to more creative endeavours, follow her passion and pursue a career as an artist. For several years Lindsay focussed primarily on commissioned pieces, but recently switched to creating more personal work from her studio at Eastside Ateliers. Her current inspiration is the way we affect one another, the importance of paying attention to those connections and bringing focus to simple moments of levity and joy.
