Kam Sing is an architect, a philosopher and an artist who explores both abstract and figurative elements in art through drawing, painting and photography. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Architecture and spent over a decade working as an architect in Hong Kong. After moving to Canada in 1997, he pursued a Ph.D. in philosophy at Simon Fraser University and earned an Advanced Study Certificate in Painting from Emily Carr University of Art + Design. This diverse background provides Kam Sing with a unique perspective on art. He believes that art, much like language, is a vital means of engaging with the world around us. His works transcend traditional boundaries of genres and styles; in his drawings, paintings and photographs, he investigates the physical and biological forces of nature, the abstract structures of science and mathematics, as well as the form and content of material culture. Kam Sing is currently a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, the American Philosophical Association and the Federation of Canadian Artists.
