Heather Talbot is a UK born, Canada based artist working mainly in textiles. She is deeply inspired by nature, particularly the small things we can miss as we speed through our days. She has created large bodies of work depicting bees, fungi and forest ecosystems.
She works in a photorealistic style, painstakingly attempting to bring to life the photos she has taken on her hikes in and around the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island by creating three dimensional 'wall sculptures' using wool and sometimes embroidery.
Heather graduated with a 1st Class Hons in Fine Art from Staffordshire University, UK in 2002 and has exhibited in various locations in the UK, US and Canada.
