About the artist
Internationally recognized, Canadian artist, Heather Konschuh is represented by a number of galleries across Canada and England. Heather received her BFA in glass in 2005 from the Alberta College of Art and Design, Calgary and also studied at the Australian National University in Canberra. Heather is actively making her glass work at Terminal City Glass Co-op in Vancouver. She is an instructor at TCGC for glass blowing and cold finishing techniques. Heather was chosen by Prime Minister Stephen Harper's wife, Laureen, to design and create the G20 and G8 charger plates for the first ladies in Toronto. Heather's flowing forms and vibrantly coloured glass pieces explore the interplay of light through different translucencies of glass. Her wide portfolio includes blown and sculptural forms, including hearts, birds, trees and various awards, reflective pendants, ornaments, vibrant bowls and vases.
