Felicia Fraser is a visual artist based in Vancouver, BC, with a background in illustration and graphic design. After years of working full-time while raising two young kids, she returned to painting as a way to reconnect with herself and explore the roots of her lifelong anxiety. Her work is rooted in a desire to care for the inner child—and invites others to do the same. She paints with honesty and warmth, creating pieces that speak to the kid in all of us.
Inspired by the light-filled realism of artists like Mary Pratt, Felicia paints everyday objects—candies, toys, and other small treasures—with precision and curiosity. Isolated from their usual context, these familiar things take on new meaning, sparking joy, nostalgia, and emotional memory. She aims to capture childhood feelings: the thrill of discovery, the joy of play, the sweetness of small moments, and the freedom of being yourself. Her work reminds us that childhood wonder isn’t lost—just buried under the noise of adulthood. In a stressful, fast-moving world, Felicia’s paintings offer a pause—a chance to slow down, look closer, and find meaning in the little things.
Felicia has exhibited two solo gallery shows filled with playful, interactive elements—like an adult-sized blanket fort—and has participated in numerous group shows. Her work will be featured at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre later this summer, with a third solo show scheduled for November 2025. She’s currently curating her first group exhibition, Maker + Mother, at Parker Street Gallery. With over 60 commissions to date, including murals and custom pieces for corporate clients, her art has also been featured in print and highlighted by local media.
