David Thompson is a Vancouverite born and raised, and calls Kitsilano home.  Since early childhood his passion has been nature, and his love for Canadian and Indigenous art inspires him to portray places he has traveled, wildlife he has seen, or those he dreams of seeing one day. As a life-long environmentalist and educator he's aware of the need to understand and protect the world's fragile ecosystems. David has donated paintings to many worthy causes such as Western Canada Wilderness Committee and the David Suzuki Foundation, as well as contributing to the painting of a mural for the Rain Forest Education Society. The East Side Culture Crawl is one of David's favourite events each year, where he looks forward to meeting fellow art lovers, locals and visitors to this lovely part of the world he calls home.
