TALKING ART / Creating in Community

Talking Art is a curated series of artist talks and conversations held in advance of the Eastside Culture Crawl festival. The Talking Art program take place virtually, with each artist talk being presented online and hosted by a moderator. This program will further provide an opportunity for artists to expose their work and ideas to the public and for the public to get a more intimate opportunity to see work in a variety of media by artists in their communities.

Creating in Community

This talk features artists Jai Sallay-Carrington and Gina D’Aloisio and explores artists whose practices have been changed by the influence of others, through participation in artist residencies or social media. By putting themselves out there, their perspectives on identity and creation have changed.
