Join us for a tour of Cineworks Analog Filmmaking Centre dedicated to preservation & development of analog film-related activities including a darkroom capable of processing celluloid cinema film in Vancouver. Visitors can see and learn about analog filmmaking equipment processing machines, rare film cameras, contact film printers, flat bed editors, animation stand for filming hand drawn stop-frame animation and a 16mm cinema projector in operation. Cineworks will provide a demonstration of scratch animation techniques (e.g. scratching and painting) on 16mm celluloid film which will be projected. Visitors will be able to participate in scratch animation and projection of the results.
