Loudly Insecure
My name is Candice Weber and I’m the artist behind Loudly Insecure- a fibre art studio operating out of Gore Studio in Chinatown. I am a multidisciplinary fibre artist and filmmaker. Although my academic training was primarily in animation and film; I discovered a passion through fine art courses, artist residencies, and volunteer work in maker spaces that grew to include jewelry design, laser cutting, CNC guided embroidery, as well as traditional crafts like weaving, beading, and hand embroidery. My distinct sensibilities as hybrid artist allows my artistic approach to bridge the space between digital and traditional craftwork.
I am constantly looking for unique ways to combine art and technology, I run a studio in a collaborative art space called Loudly Insecure which creates both decorative and wearable art pieces.
