I make paintings and drawings and ceramics. I listen, observe, read, collect words and wonder. The central impetus is to try to convert collected information and ideas into material images that might generate different ways of seeing. Born in Vancouver, I received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked for many years in health care in various capacities and in various cities. After an epiphany of sorts, I decided to leave nursing and go to the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts. My education was continued at Simon Fraser University where I received a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies.
