Emina is a Bosnian ceramicist, now living and working in Vancouver, BC. Pushing the boundaries of traditional pottery, the organic shapes of her pieces blur the line between function and art. A self-taught artist, Emina brings a unique perspective to her work, spending time with each piece of clay testing how far it can be pushed, and discovering the delicate balance between creation and destruction. Inspired by nature, architecture, and design principles—which she brings from her background in Communication Design—each piece she creates is utilitarian, with a sculptural beauty that allows it to stand alone as a decorative piece. Her work brings beauty into everyday life, enhancing the intimate connection between our spaces and art.
