Crows Electromusic makes unique electronic musical instruments that invite self-expression and thoughtful exploration of sound's ability to shape and transform our emotions and our experience of the world. These instruments facilitate a direct connection between makers and music, unlocking creativity and play. Crows is an ongoing project to create meaningful creative tools, while exploring ways to subvert the capitalist death-spiral of climate destruction and labour exploitation. The instruments are handmade in East Van, using up-cycled materials whenever available.
For Culture Crawl, Crows will be presenting TRY-ANGLE - an interactive installation where you can explore harmonic and dissonant sound using
OVUM, Crows’ first instrument. The installation will allow you to play on your own, or collaborate with one or two friends or strangers to create an evolving soundscape.
