About the artistAn abstract acrylic painter, Kim grew up in Vancouver. While mostly self-taught, she considers her years living in London, England and travels to Europe absorbing the arts as part of her foundational art studies. She has been painting for approximately ten years. The simple version: Kim's work is often influenced by color. To dig a bit deeper -- it is the emotional influence of color as well as that of finger, brush or palette to canvas (what gets brought out during the process) that impacts the final outcome of each painting. Kim works on multiple canvases at a time, some taking a year, others a few weeks. Each piece evolves at its own necessary pace.
