About the artistBritta Fluevog is a third generation artist; Her grandmother was a printmaker, her mother is an art therapist/ mixed media artist, and her father is a designer. In 2007 she received her Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Fine Art from NSCAD University. Upon graduation, She established a small ceramic co-op in Ghana, West Africa. She received Master’s of Applied Art from Emily Carr in 2015. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Organic shapes, texture, and a plethora of details in the work creates art that continually changes and allows meandering explorations by the viewers. Local, industrial, and indigenous materials are explored in relationship to their places of origin and the connotations they carry. Most pieces are designed in the processes; they start with a loose idea that takes shape while making the work.
