In your studio, located within the Eastside Culture Crawl boundaries: Columbia Street to Victoria Drive and First Avenue to the waterfront. 

REGISTRATION DETAILS

  • Early Bird Registration Fee: $135 (includes membership fee)
  • Registration Fee: $175 (includes membership fee)
  • PLEASE NOTE - artists registering after September 23 will not be listed in the printed program. Artists can register up to Nov 17th but will not be able to access any technical support services after November 10th, 2016 at 5pm.

Please note: If you were in the Crawl in 2015 your online presence is deactivated as of April 21st, 2016. Once you have registered your artist information will be back online. Online payment is through Paypal. A receipt is automatically issued. If you do not receive one, your registration is incomplete. If paying by cheque, please put in the mailbox outside the Crawl office door.

KEY DATES FOR 2016

April 24                    

  • Attend the Eastside Culture Crawl Society Annual General Meeting at the  Strathcona Community Centre 1- 3 pm

April 25 – May 27 at 5pm

  • Early Bird Discount Rate Registration for the 2016 Eastside Culture Crawl.

August 26 - 5pm

  • Refund deadline.  You are eligible for a refund up to August 26. There will be a $35 administration processing fee.

September 16 - 5pm

  • Deadline to submit your information to the Crawl's publicity team for media consideration.  You must be registered for 2016 to make a submission. 

September 23 - 5pm

  • Deadline to be included in the printed program. You can still register after this date and you will still appear in our online artist listings.

September 30

  • The Crawl PARTy: Celebrating 20 Years of Visual Art

October 14

  • Update your profile and images on the Eastside Culture Crawl website.

November 10th - 5pm

  • Final deadline for NEW artists to submit applications.  RETURNING artists may register up until the Culture Crawl weekend, but please note that November 10 is the deadline to receive technical support and/or admin assistance with registration.

 

CRITERIA

Here you will find important information to update your participation for 2016. Please take the time to review the details, your studio specifics and your images. The Crawl Festival is focused exclusively on professional artists in their own studios, producing unique works of art.

  1. To be a participating artist in the Eastside Culture Crawl your studio must be within our boundaries. (Columbia Street to Victoria Drive & First Ave to the waterfront).
  2. You may not sublet or rent out your studio to others during Crawl hours.  The Eastside Culture Crawl is a public studio visit with artists in their own workspace.
  3. Your artwork must be one of a kind and created by you. Mass produced work, food manufacturers and culinary arts are ineligible.
  4. You can only promote and sell work you have created.
  5. Each artist registers individually regardless of whether the work is a collaboration, collective etc.
  6. See "Artists Agreement" for further details and responsibilities.  This must be read and agreed to before you can register for the Eastside Culture Crawl.
  7. The Eastside Culture Crawl does not allow you to serve alcohol during Crawl hours.
  8. You must be open during the Crawl hours and in your own studio. 

 

NEW ARTISTS: Create a new account and then fill out the new artist application form.

NEW BUILDINGS: Contact the Eastside Culture Crawl administration.

RETURNING ARTISTS: Go to register online.

PAYMENT: If you pay online, your Culture Crawl account will automatically be activated. Online payment is via PayPal (through PayPal you will also have the option to pay by credit card). If you pay by cheque (payable to ECCS) it will take a few days to activate your account.

REFUNDS: You are eligible for a refund up to August 26. There will be a $35 administration processing fee.

IF YOUR STUDIO IS NOT WITHIN THE CATCHMENT AREA OR YOU DO NOT MEET THE OTHER CRITERIA YOUR PROFILE WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE WEBSITE. YOU WILL BE CHARGED A $35 ADMINISTRATION FEE TO COVER THE COST OF PROCESSING. After August 26, there will be no refunds.
